A hotel pool above the canyon

A short list, honestly

Grand Canyon Hotels With a Pool

Four properties in this guide confirm a pool. That is not a curated selection, it is the complete list, and it says something useful about the area: pools are scarce near the Grand Canyon because this is high, dry, seasonal country rather than a resort destination. If a pool is a requirement, it will decide where you stay.

Reality check

Three of the four are in Williams, about an hour from the rim. Requiring a pool effectively means accepting the Williams drive unless you book the one Tusayan property that has one.

The four, and what each costs you

Grand Canyon Plaza Hotel, Tusayan. The only pool within five minutes of the entrance station. It also carries the lowest review score of the four large Tusayan hotels, at 8.0, and sits in the mid-range band. If the pool and the short drive both matter, this is the only property that does both.

Granzella's Inn, Williams. Pool, restaurant and bar all confirmed, at 8.8 in the value band. The strongest of the Williams pool options on the data, though across only 329 reviews.

Traveler's Inn, Williams. A pool in the budget band at 8.2 across roughly 500 reviews.

Stage Stop Inn, Williams. Pool and restaurant at the lowest rate of the four, but the lowest score in this guide at 7.7 across only 73 reviews.

Before you plan around a pool

Our data confirms that a pool exists. It does not tell us whether it is indoor or outdoor, heated, seasonal, or currently open. At this elevation an unheated outdoor pool is not usable for a good part of the year, and pools close for maintenance.

If the pool is a genuine requirement rather than a bonus, confirm with the property that it will be open and heated on your dates. This is exactly the kind of claim we will not make on their behalf.

Questions

Do any hotels near the Grand Canyon have a pool?

Four in this guide confirm one: Grand Canyon Plaza Hotel in Tusayan, and Granzella's Inn, Traveler's Inn and Stage Stop Inn in Williams.

Are the pools indoor or outdoor?

Our data does not record this, so we do not state it. Given the elevation and the winters, confirm with the property whether the pool is heated and open on your dates.

Is there a pool at the in-park lodges?

We hold no verified amenity data for the Grand Canyon Village lodges and do not publish any. Check with the park's lodging operators.
