About GrandCanyonAZHotels.com
GrandCanyonAZHotels.com exists to answer one question properly: where should you stay when you visit the Grand Canyon? Not which hotel has the best photographs, but which area makes sense for your trip, and which property within it fits what you actually need.
Why the site is built this way
Most lodging searches near the Grand Canyon go wrong in the same place. Someone searches for hotels near the Grand Canyon, gets a list that mixes properties two miles from the entrance with properties an hour away, books on price or photographs, and discovers the drive on the first morning.
The distance is knowable in advance. So is whether a property is inside the national park, which entrance it serves and what it does not have. We put those facts first, on every page, and organise everything around them.
What we will not do
- We do not invent facts. Where we have no verified figure, we say so and leave the field out.
- We do not claim first-hand stays we have not made, and there are no invented reviewer experiences anywhere on this site.
- We do not describe a property as near, cheap, luxury or family-friendly unless the data supports it.
- We do not reorder recommendations for commission.
- We do not publish live prices or availability, because a static guide cannot keep them accurate.
What we do publish
Real locations, road distances and drive times to the South Entrance Station. Booking.com scores and review counts with the date we checked them. Eight confirmed amenity fields per property. And for each one, who it suits, who it does not, and which alternatives are worth comparing.
Everything time-sensitive on this site carries a date. Everything about park operations points to the National Park Service, which is the authority and outranks us whenever the two disagree.
Scope
This phase of the guide covers the South Rim: inside the park at Grand Canyon Village, plus Tusayan, Valle and Williams. That is where the large majority of visitors go and where the lodging decision actually is.
Flagstaff, Page, Kanab, the North Rim and Grand Canyon West are part of the wider region and will be added as they can be covered properly. We would rather publish four areas well than nine badly.
Questions
Are you affiliated with the National Park Service?
No. This is an independent guide with no affiliation to the National Park Service, the park's lodging operators or any hotel.
How do you make money?
Through affiliate links to Booking.com. If you book after following one we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It does not affect what we include or what we say.
Why do some properties have no review score?
Because we have no verified current source for one. The in-park lodges are not sold through the channels our data covers, so rather than borrow an unreliable number we leave it out.
