Editorial Policy

These are the rules this site is written under. They are published so you can hold us to them.

Accuracy

• We publish facts we can source. Where a fact is unknown, the field is omitted and the omission is stated.
• We never present an assumption as a verified fact.
• We do not invent amenities, distances, review scores, prices, hotel history, policies, views or shuttle services.
• Absence of an amenity in our data is reported as "not confirmed", never as "not available", because those are different claims.

Independence

• Affiliate commission does not affect which properties we include, where they appear, or what we say about them.
• No property has paid for inclusion, position or wording.
• Several of our strongest recommendations are budget properties where the commission is smallest.
• We publish reasons not to book a property as readily as reasons to book it.

Time-sensitive information

• Review scores, review counts and amenity data carry the date they were checked: August 2026.
• We do not publish live prices or availability. Price bands indicate relative position from a single snapshot, not a quoted rate.
• For park operations, closures, roads, shuttles and seasonal access, the National Park Service is authoritative and takes precedence over anything on this site.
• We do not refresh a date without actually rechecking the content.

First-hand experience

We do not claim stays we have not made. There are no invented reviewer experiences, no fabricated author trips and no synthetic quotes anywhere on this site.

Where we describe what guests report, it is a pattern across many reviews, not a single opinion presented as fact.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, we want to fix it. Tell us on the contact page with the page and the detail, and we will correct it or remove the claim.

Where a correction changes a recommendation, we change the recommendation rather than defending the original.
